I just want to share some information that might save our community of Mountain Shadows some money and heart ache.
This past October I had a flood in my condo resulting from a broken connection from the toilet tank on the flex hose. My insurance adjuster informed me that the plastic connection at the toilet tank end of the flex hose cracked and caused the flood. Our condos are old and this plastic connection weakens with time. I personally know of three other floods caused by this same thing
What should be done is to replace the plastic connections with a metal connection. You will not be able to buy a metal connection at Lowe’s or Home Depot. You can only buy the metal part at a plumbing store like Fergusons.
By the way I think you news letter is a wonderful idea. Thank you for putting it together.
